Abstract
Mild deprotection of pinacolyl boronate esters to the corresponding boronic acids was achieved in the presence of excess polystyrene–boronic acid via a transesterification process. The procedure allows for the cleavage of pinacolyl boronate esters in the presence of sensitive functional groups.
