Abstract
formation is presented also to explain the melting points assigned to this acid by the investigators. In an effort to ascertain the purity of the ethyl 3, 12-dihydroxy-'i-ketocholanate, a mixture was prepared with ethyl cholate. The melting point was observed to be higher than that for either compound.
