Abstract
This author and co-workers have developed Pd(OAc) 2 -catalyzed homocoupling that proceeds in methanol at room temperature under air. [13] A serious limitation of our protocol is low efficiency toward arylboronic acids bearing an electron-withdrawing substituent, resulting in the low yield of biaryls due to the formation of palladium black.
