Abstract
Abstract: The rates of alkaline hydrolysis of methyl 6-methyl-2-benzoylbenzoate, methyl 6- methyl-2-acetylbenzoate, methyl 6-chloro-2-benzoylbenzoate, methyl 6-chloro-2- acetylbenzoate, and the 6-unsubstituted analogs have been measured.
