Abstract
The hydrolysis of surface-bound basic tin-amide moieties with acidic protons of alkynyl chromophores leads to molecular self-assembly of a variety of rigid-rod alkynes on inorganic oxide surfaces such as glass, quartz, and single crystal silicon.
