Abstract

Abstract Chemoselective carbonyl alkylation and reduction of aldehydes in the presence of ketones has been accomplished with amphiphilic reaction system, MAD/RLi or MAD/RMgX, while selective carbonyl alkylation of ketones is effected by using Me 2 AlNMePh/RLi system.
