Abstract

Oct., 1gt-) l NOTES 4975 acid-concentration and running a series of small-scale extractions with diisopropylcarbinol using the indicated amount of sodium aluminate and varying amounts of added aluminum nitrate. The yield as a function of added aluminum nitrate was determined within 10% by alpha-counting a plate upon which an aliquot of the resulting carbinol had been evaporated and strongly heated to remove polonium.
