Abstract

Abstract A short and efficient route to synthesis and structural characterization of a series of novel N-dichloroacetyl-5-ethyl-1, 3-oxazolidine derivatives has been developed. These new compounds, characterized by the substitution at position 2 by alkyls, cycloalkanes, benzyls, or aryls, have been synthesized in good yields via a sequential procedure involving cycloaddition, condensation, and acylation.
