Abstract
Sulfuric acid hydrolysis of m-nitrophenylthiorrcet- morpholide gave a 22% yield of m-nitrophenylacetic acid which melted at 117-119" after recrystallizatioa from water; its m. p. is variously reported*8 as 117 to 120 . Use of Other Amines.-The standard procedure de- scribed for morpholine and styrene was used in all the comparative runs made with other amines and styrene.
