Abstract

Abstract A variety of 1-bromoalkenes are prepared by addition of dibromomethyllithium to ketones and aldehydes followed by reductive elimination with zinc-acetic acid. The product E/Z ratios were determined, and halogen-lithium exchange with t-butyllithium was examined.
