Abstract
Oxidative transformation of aldehydes 1 to esters 2 under mild conditions is often requisite in organic synthesis, and hence much effort has been devoted to find new methods or new reagents effective for this type of oxidation. 2 In our continuing study on anodic oxidation using mediators: we have found that this electrooxidation is a convenient tool for the transformation of 1 to 2.
