Abstract
3,3′-Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a major digestive product of indole-3-methanol, a potential anti-cancer component of cruciferous vegetables. 1 It is a potent activator of the immune response system in vivo. 2 It activates and potentiates interferon-gamma signalling in human cells 3 and its use as supplement in human increases the 2-hydroxylation of oestrogen metabolites. 4 3,3′-Diindolylmethane reduces the growth of breast cancer cells by 95% 5 and exhibits ...
