Abstract

Terminal alkynes react with carbon dioxide and secondary amines in the presence of ruthenium complexes to afford vinyl carbamates in one step. The reaction has been performed with phenylacetylene, hexyne, and acetylene and with dialkylamines, morpholine, piperidine, and pyrrolidine.
