Abstract
Ring-enlargement reactions of several W-1, 2, 4-benzothiadiazine 1, l-dioxides under photoexcitation have been studied by steady-state irradiation, product analysis, and laser flash photolysis. Irradiations in benzene or methanol gave moderate yields (14-70%) of 6- methyl-5H-dibenzo [b, g][1, 4, 6] thiadiazocine 12, 12-dioxides in most cases.
