Abstract
Ferrocene-terminated oligo (phenylenevinylene)(OPV) methyl thiols have been prepared by orthogonal coupling of phenylene monomers. Ethoxy substituents on the phenyl rings improve the solubility of OPV, enabling the synthesis of longer oligomers.
