Abstract
This paper describes the oxidation of organic cornpounds under non-aqueous and aprotic conditions using benzyltriphenylphosphonium dichromate (1, PhCH, PPh,), Cr, O,) which is very easily prepared by mixing an aqueous solution of benzyltriphenylphosphonium chloride with CrO, in 3 N HCl at room temperature.
