Abstract

Postmenopausal women are at high risk for cardiovascular diseases because of the estrogen deficiency. As for postmenopausal breast cancer patients, this risk is even higher due to inhibition of estrogens biosyntheses in peripheral tissue by the aromatase (CYP19) inhibitors applied.
