Abstract

By quantitative VPC (6-ft X IlS-in. 20% SE-10% starting material observed VPC indicated 6% starting material at-78 OC and then warming the resulting mixture to-50 “C for 30-60 min afforded the desired product in quantitative yield (VPC). ll This remarkable coupling process contrasts quite favorably with previous studies2-” not only in terms of efficiency but with respect to reaction conditions as well.
