3044 Partridge: Adituberculous Compounds. Part III. by this method failed. In the case of p- allyloxy-N-phe~ zylbenzamidine, the yield of purified amidine was low (28%) since the period of heating was reduced to avoid a Claisen rearrangement of the p-allyloxyphenyl cyanide.
