Abstract

Addition of dinitroacetonitrile to carbonyl conjugated unsaturated systems was a generally successful reaction for the preparation of Michael adducts. The expected products were obtained with methyl acrylate, acrylamide, acrolein, butenone, methylene-bis-acrylamide, and N, N′, N ″-triacrylylper-hydro-s-triazine.
