Abstract

Abstract The synthesis of a number of substituted 2-aminobenzoxazoles and benzoxazolinones is described. The majority of the compounds exhibit marked muscle relaxant activity, two of the most potent being 2-amino-5-chlorobenzoxazole 1 and 5- chlorobenzoxazolinone 2.
