Abstract

It was shown in our preceding article [2] that 5-propionyl-l, 3-benzodioxolane (XVb) has anti- inflammatory activity (AIA) and is slightly toxic. Therefore, to study the relationship between the chemical structure and AIA, and also as part of our search for new drugs, we synthesized and studied alkyl aryl ketones and their derivatives, previously unknown or not investigated with respect to AIA.
