Abstract

Research highlights ► SCM198 (Leonurine) possessed neuroprotective potential both in vivo and in vitro. ► SCM198 exerted neuroprotective effect by inhibiting oxidative stress and apoptosis. ► We can develop therapeutic strategy for neurodegenerative diseases based on SCM198.
