Abstract
In an earlier article2 was described a convenient preparation of N, N-dimethylglycinonitrile from dimethylamine, formaldehyde and hydrocyanic acid. Since substituted glycinonitriles were required as starting materials for some projected syntheses, the cyanomethylation procedure was extended to several secondary amines.
