Abstract

Abstract A new solid acid Nafion-H, a perfluorinated sulfonic acid resin, catalyzed microwave-assisted synthesis of triarylmethanes is described. Various benzaldehydes react readily with arenes to provide the corresponding triarylmethanes in good to excellent yields.
