Abstract

Synthesis of pyrrolo [1', 2': 1, 2] pyrazino [6, 5-c] carbazole derivatives is described starting from 3-amino-4, 6-dinitro-9-ethylcarbazole (1). The pyrrole ring is obtained by reaction with 2, 5-dimethoxytetrahydrofuran. Cyclization of the pyrazine ring is achieved after reduction of the nitro grouping by intramolecular cyclization of 4, 6-diamino-9-ethyl-3-(1-pyrrolyl) carbazole derivatives. 1 H nuclear magnetic resonance spectra are studied.
