Abstract

Careful treatment of n-butylsilane with HgC12, HgBrz or 1 2 yields n-C4HgSiHzCl, n- C4HgSiHzBr or a mixture of BC~ HQ-SiHd and n-CIHeSiHIe, respectively. Hydrolysis of n- C4HQSi&C1 furnishes (n-C4HQSiH&0, n-C4H9SiH1Br and CaHb" 2 furnish n-C4H~ SiH2r\ THCGHS. Table I presents the properties of the six new compounds.
