Abstract
Various N-alkylsaccharins were easily prepared in moderate to good yields by the reaction of N-alkyl (o-methyl) arenesulfonamides with (diacetoxyiodo) benzene in the presence of iodine under irradiation with a tungsten lamp (W-hν).
