Abstract

Abstract Alkoxyflavonols were synthesized by the Algar-Flynn-Oyamada (AFO) cyclization of chalcones. Hydroxyflavonols were prepared by dealkylation of methoxyflavonols by refluxing in hydroiodic acid.
