Abstract
C, FzV,+ 1 COSH?+ SaOBr-\+ CnFzn+ 1 NHz+ COZ+ NaX but gives instead different types of products. Furthermore] the reaction follows different patterns for trifluoroacetamide and for the perfluoroamides having three or more carbon atoms in the chain. Trifluoroacetamide was reported to yield not the expected and still unknown compound, CF3NH2, but instead hexafluoroethanej as the only isolable fluorinated compound.
