Abstract

Graphical abstract Four benzophenones and five xanthones isolated from the twigs of Garcinia cantleyana var. cantleyana showed high LDL antioxidant and antiplatelet activities with one xanthone exhibiting the strongest inhibition on LDL oxidation with IC50 value comparable to that of probucol.
