Abstract
Because the structural requirements for the binding of nicotine to central nicotine receptors remain largely uninvestigated, we undertook a systematic investigation of pyrrolidine ring- opened analogs. This led to a subsequent investigation of related conformationally restricted derivatives of these analogs.
