Abstract

Hydantoin derivatives were obtained by the reactions of terminal alkynes with isocyanates in the presence of a catalytic amount of a manganese complex, MnBr (CO) 5. This reaction also proceeded using a rhenium complex, Re 2 (CO) 10, or an iron complex, Fe (CO) 5, as a catalyst.
