Abstract

thiin Perchlorate (6). An excess of silver perchlorate was added to a stirred solution of 100 mg (0.28 mmol) of 5 in acetonitrile. After 10 rnin the precipitated silver iodide was filtered, the solution was evaporated, and the residue was washed with water and crystallized from aqueous methanol, giving 88 mg (0.27 mmol, 96%) of 6, mp 160-162O dec, mmp with authentic 6 (see below) 159-160'dec.
