Abstract

Zusammenfassung Es wurden Versuche unternommen, vom 2, 5-Di-guajacyl-3, 4-di- hydroxymethyl-furan (VIII), das aus dem α, β-Di-benzylvanilloyl-bernsteinsäurediäthylester (IV) über das 2, 5-Di-acetylguajacyl-3, 4-dicarbäthoxy-furan (VI) erhalten worden war, durch Hydrierung des Furanringes zum (±)-Olivil oder zum Haworth schen Triol (III) zu gelangen.
