Abstract

Abstract 1-Aminofluoren-9-one is brominated and chlorinated in glacial acetic acid and it is shown that the reaction products are 1-amino-4-bromo-, 1-amino-2, 4-dibromofluoren-9-one and 1-amino-4-chloro-and 1-amino-2, 4-dichlorofluoren-9-one, respectively. Electron densities (net charges) and bond orders of 1 are calculated using the simple HMO-method.
