Abstract

For a continuation of our study of the effects of gem-dialkyl substitution on the rates of cyclization of o-bromoalkylamines, it became necessary to prepare a series of 5- bromopentylamine hydrobromides. This paper reports the synthesis of the hydrobromides of 5-bromopentylamine1 5-bromo-1, l-dimethylpentylamine, 5-brom0-2~ 2- dimethylpentylamine, 5-bromo-3, 3-dimethy1pentylamineJ and 5-brom0-4~ 4- ...
