Abstract
Ester p-tosylhydraxones are obtained in good yields from reactions of ortho esters and p- tosylhydrazine. The reactions of three of these ester p-tosylhydrazones, derived from methyl orthoformate, ethyl orthoacetate, and methyl orthobenzoate, with sodium hydride and the thermal decompositions of the product sodium salts are discussed.
