Abstract

(18) Inasmuch as Lucas, Schlatter and Jones5 claim that 2-pentene derived from 2-pentanol consists of approximately 75% trans-and 25% cis-isomer, it is possible that the: runs-isomer may have sulfonated in the 2-position and the cis-isomer in the 3-position.
