Abstract

Results Phenyl 1-Phenyl-1-propenyl Sulfide (I).-Treatment of I with diborane followed by hydrolysis and oxidation with hydrogen peroxide produced a volatile fraction which, when separated on Florisil, gave thioanisole (11)(50%) and an alcoholic fraction (26.5%).
