Abstract
It was reported in the first paper of this series2 that dibromodifluoromethane reacts with a variety of hydrocarbon olefins in the presence of benzoyl peroxide to give one-to-one addition products which could be converted to 1, l-difluorobutadienes. Chloroolefins were found to be unreactive toward the dibromomethane.
