Abstract
Iri an attempt to develop an improved method for the identification of aliphatic esters, they were treated with benzylamine in aqueous solution. l'his scheme is similar to that already in use for ammonia, might be employed successfully at boiling temperatures with the esters of weaker acids because of its higher boiling point.
