Abstract
Higher homologs of diphenylmethane, containing alternating phenylene and methylene groups CeH6-CH2 (CeHrCH2) nCaHs are practically unknown, and many simple derivatives of diphenylmethane, especially those containing different substituents in the two benzene rings, were hitherto prepared by complicated routes and in low yields.
