Abstract
When the various isocyanides (3) reacted with diethyl carbonate in the presence of sodium hydride in dimethylformamide, ethoxycarbonylation proceeded easily at the a carbon of the isocyanides, and the corresponding ethyl a-isocyanoacetat, e derivatives (5, R'= Et) were obtained in 59-63% yields as listed in Table The ir spectra of these compounds
