Abstract

Abstract: The syntheses of unlabeled and fourfold I3C-labeled tetraphenylmethane tetrakisgalvinols are described. Different paramagnetic species, Le., a doublet-state monoradical, a triplet-state biradical, a quartet-state triradical, and a quintet-state tetraradical, can be generated by selective oxidation and identified by EPR,'H, and I3C ENDOR spectroscopy.
