Abstract
Summary Linoleyl alcohol, a compound not previously described, has been prepared from methyl linoleate. Some of its properties are given, and its behavior with halogens and catalytically activated hydrogen is described. The alcohol has also been converted into linoleyl-p-nitrophenylurethan.
