四氟化铀制备

制法1 UO2+4HF→UF4+2H2O【250~270℃反应温度】

二氧化铀与氟化氢反应可生成四氟化铀,但同时此反应也可以逆向进行,所以反应过程中要及时除去生成的水。

由于二氧化铀易被氧化生成高氧化态化合物,而高氧化态氧化物用氟化氢进行氟化时,可生成UO2F2,则将使四氟化铀的纯度下降,所以反应前二氧化铀要预先在氢气流中,于800~900℃下进行还原处理2~3h,使之重新变成UO2。取适量的二氧化铀放入铂舟或镍舟中,送入反应管内,用高纯度的氩将系统内的空气完全逐出以后,升温至550~650℃,通入氟化氢。反应时间依氧化铀的粉碎程度而定。反应完毕后,停止导入氟化氢,再通入氩气将残留的氟化氢完全逐出以后,迅速使反应管的温度降至常温。如果在残留有氟化氢的情况下降至常温时,则氟化氢将被吸附在氟化铀上。应注意,如果在氟化氢中或用作逐出气的氩气中含有水及氧气时,会使四氟化铀中的双氧铀及氧化物杂质含量增加。

制法2

2UO2+5NH4F·HF→2UF4·NH4F+3NH3+4H2O【150℃反应温度】

UF4·NH4F4→UF4+NH4F【50℃反应温度】

氟氢化铵(在常温下为稳定的白色粉末,容易处理。)与二氧化铀反应可制得四氟化铀。

往二氧化铀粉末中加入比所需量过量20%的氟氢化铵粉末,在惰性气氛中充分混合,压成疏松的片,放进聚四氟乙烯反应器中,导入惰性气体,同时在150℃下加热8h,就可制得绿色的UF4·NH4F。将UF4·NH4F移至铂舟中,并放入镍制反应管或不锈钢反应管内,如果在惰性气流中加热至450℃,随着反应的进行,NH4F逐渐挥发而分离出去,即可得到四氟化铀。
