赤藓糖醇是布鲁氏菌的优先底物。赤藓糖醇实际上是通过一系列涉及三种异构酶的反应转化为D-红糖-4-磷酸,并通过给磷酸戊糖分流术允许磷酸己糖的合成和生长[1]。
