氧化铥(III)制备

主要用于制造携带式X射线透射装置。也可用作反应堆中的控制材料。

以含铥的稀土富集物为原料，采用溶剂萃取法或离子交换法分出其他稀土离子，以适当的沉淀剂将铥以氢氧化物、碳酸盐、草酸盐形式沉淀析出。灼烧其氢氧化物、碳酸盐或草酸盐即得氧化铥。令金属铥与氧直接化合也可制得氧化铥。
