1.镍矿中分离出的粗氧化钪，经加工制成氢氧化钪，再经加热，焙烧制得氧化钪成品。

2.将金属钪在氧气中燃烧或灼烧钪的氢氧化物、碳酸盐、硫酸盐和草酸盐等都能得到倍半氧化物Sc2O3。
